The loss of a loved one is a difficult time for family and friends. The clergy and staff of Christ Church Ithan are always ready to offer comfort and solace during such a challenging time, and to work with the family to plan a suitable funeral, memorial service or burial.

Our clergy works closely with the family of the deceased to plan the funeral and to celebrate the life of their loved one.

Plots are available for cremations and for burials in our Garden of Remembrance situated near the wooded grounds behind Ithan Hall.

Please contact the church office or the rector for more details.

The liturgy for the dead is an Easter liturgy. It finds all meaning in the resurrection. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we too, shall be raised.
The liturgy, therefore, is characterized by joy, in the certainty that “neither death, not life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— The Book of Common Prayer
